Happy Birthday Savy Girl

She was so happy.  Until we smashed her cake.  And then she was so mad!

This little girl is growing up way too fast.  I remember her being this sweet little thing that just wanted to cuddle and suck her thumb.  She was quiet and never had too much to say.  Now she's got a fiery temper and a stubborn little personality.  She basically gets whatever she wants and she knows it.  I mean honestly, who can say no those little piggies?!  I guess we've all gotten used to her running the show.  And none of us really mind. Boston is completely in love with her and it's just about the sweetest thing.

I love being a mother.  It's the hardest thing I've ever done in my entire life.  And it's the most rewarding.  I live everyday for them and everyday they teach me something new!

Do you not love her girly party hat?!  I purchased it here.  It's from Wynne Marie Ink.  You all know how much I love Schuyler's bows.  She's fabulous.  I'm keeping this headband for future birthdays and starting a tradition where Savy wears it every year.  I love that it's not the traditional party hat.  It's so super girly.  If you have girls- you need one.

Making Savy's cake was so fun!  It's a four layered 6" round.  I used a 1M Wilton tip and just started each rosette in the center at a 90 degree angle and went up and around to complete the circle.  I started at the bottom and worked my way up.  It literally took 15 minutes to frost, I was so surprised how fast it went!  I got done frosting the cake around 10pm and realized I didn't have a stand.  DER!  So we improvised.  Next year I'll be all prepared with a stand aaannnd a candle.  Oops!  Hahaha!  I found THE BEST cake and buttercream frosting recipe.  Like ever.  It's so delicious and super easy.  I'll share it in another post here later on if you're interested.  I'll be doing a tutorial on the banner as well- it was also super easy.

I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!  I'm speaking at the BYB Conference tomorrow- wish me luck.  I am crazy nervous!
