Kmart Style #2

This was such a fun dress to style and I can’t tell you how thankful I am for this lace top from Chicwish, I’ve been paring it with everything lately!  Anyway.  This dress c/o is a neoprene material and the length is super flattering. It retails $55 and I got it for $38 after using a coupon code from coupons.com
I was going to wear these shoes but I ordered the wrong size and couldn’t wait for the new ones to come in the mail.  I guess that’s just what happens when you move a zillion times a summer!

My favorite new necklace from c/o  T&J Designs!
Clutch: c/o Hello Fab Bracelets: c/o Sugar Love Boutique and c/o Nest Boutique
So something is all crazy with my lens.  It’s not focusing very well.  The pictures aren’t crisp at all.  It’s driving me crazy!  I have the cheap-o 50 mm canon lens.  If you could only use one lens, what would it be?  Any recommendations out there?  It’s time I upgrade and invest in something a little bit better!

  1. I’m having the same problem with my Nikon lens. It came with the kit. It drives me crazy too! Comes and goes with no warning. I don’t get it.

And no, can’t believe the dress is from Kmart!! I would wear it, but Idk if I would buy it for $38, let alone the list price it’s going for. I’m just not sure about the quality, although it really is super cute. Is this part of a major overhaul that Kmart’s attempting or something? Or was it just one diamond in the rough that you found?

    1. They actually have really cute stuff online! The stores don’t have nearly as much so I’d definitely recommend shopping online. I’ve actually been super impressed with the quality. The shorts and shirt I wore last week I’ve already washed a couple of times and they are look great. They don’t feel cheap.

  2. The outfit/dress is adorable!

The 50mm backfocuses a TON and it’s a well known and acknowledged problem. I use the 50mm 1.4 for everything and it doesn’t give me too much problem. These images look super grainy like you took them with a really high ISO/near dusk with not enough light ( or they were underexposed?) so you retouched them to compensate for the lack of light? The grain can add to a ‘soft focus’ look and make it seem more soft than tack sharp. When focusing, try focusing a few times to make sure you REALLY nab the focus and then snap the image. Otherwise, you may want to upgrade to the L glass, 50 mm 1.2 L or some other focal length. Hope this helps!

    1. I’m so glad you commented!! Yeah it was too dark and Brian insisted on figuring out the settings by himself haha! I’m fairly certain the ISO was at least 3200 if not higher. And yes, so photoshop they went ha! I’m googling that lens right now! Thanks for the advice!
