Christmas for the kids

The holiday season is quickly approaching and that means shopping, shopping and more shopping.  If only we could just slow down and savor the special season!  It’s always so much though shopping for the ones you love — seeing the excitement on their faces with each unwrapped gift.  Being a stay at home mom to two and working pretty much full time all through the night, I don’t have time to make a billion different trip.  That’s one of my absolute favorite things about Target.  It’s a one-stop-shop, pretty much every mother’s dream.  Not to mention their dollar section is amazing.

Today I’ve teamed up with Target to give you my wish list for the kids.  All opinions and content are my own.  Hopefully this’ll provide you with some fun new ideas for your own!  Follow along at #mykindofholiday

Having a little girl has been loads of fun.  The way they snuggle and twirl around when they get dressed.  Allll that sass.  I love the pink, the bows, the fur vests.  Savy has been driving her brothers trucks around for the past two years.  We have absolutely zero girl toys and she’s finally itching for some.  This Christmas our big gift is going to be that KidKraft Play Kitchen.  Is it not adorable?  It’s even got a little washer… ahhh, so cute!  I just cannot get enough of the gold tutu’s, the dolly’s and kitchen toys.

Boston is getting to be such a little grown up.  He loves preschool, writing his letters, playing games and building things.  The days of silly toys are over for this kid and I’ve searched long and hard to find some really cool learning gifts.  I’ve never heard of the LeapPad LeapReader but the reviews are amazing and it looks really neat.  Do any of you have it?  I usually write and create with him but this would be a great quiet time activity he can do by himself.  We’re also huge into games and legos at this house.  Can never have too many!  Boston’s biggest present and the one he’ll be most excited for is his bike.  And don’t worry, he won’t need the training wheels thanks to the strider bike.  He’s been on that thing since before he was 2!  If you’re looking for some great gift ideas for a 4 year old, I hope some of these suggestions helped!

Now… who is ready for Christmas?!
