Today I’ve got THE most beautiful side braid for you — it’s the perfect wedding hairstyle.  Updos and formal hairstyles in general are a little bit tricky to teach.  There are so many random steps and usually a lot of random pinning involved.  I wanted to create a hairstyle that was easily duplicatable, one with clear steps that you guys could figure out on the fly and make it look good without a lot of practice.  I’m hoping this becomes one of your favorites because it’s totally one of mine!

You ready to see this wedding hairstyle, already?!

There are three basic french braids involved and a lot of curls and texture.  I didn’t explain the curls in the video because I’ve done it in so many, but I used a 32mm curling wand from Flourish.  I HIGHLY recommend this wand and you can watch this video and read this article about all the reasons I love it!   Then used the Living Proof Dry Volume Blast + Kenra 25 Hairspray at the end of the style.  If your hair is slippery and you’re having a hard time getting the braids to stay in, use this Grip Spray and you’ll be good to go!  Also dry shampoo usually does the trick too!  For curls tutorial click here.
