More than just Chocolate!

February 10, 2017

Can you believe Valentine’s Day is right around the corner?!  I feel like V-Day has become a holiday typically celebrated by those who are in love.  My little family, though, thinks of it as a day to show appreciation for all the special people who have made an impression or impact in our lives!  Next week Boston and Savy are heading to their third school this year.  Their teachers have been so amazing, really encouraging them to make new friends, helping them get caught up on their lessons, and just loving them and making them feel welcome.  As a mother, I can’t express my gratitude enough for the wonderful teachers and bus drivers who have made such a difference in our lives this year.  When merci reached out to me, telling me that they were celebrating all the unsung heroes in the classroom, I knew I had to be a part of it!! Valentines Day For the Husband

February 17, 2012

Yes, yes I know Valentines Day was awhile ago.  I wanted to share earlier but my husband frequents the blog and I didn’t want to give his present away.  So next year, if you’re looking for a super cheap but sincere gift come back for a visit! I first bought seven of Brian’s favorite candy bars.  And then for each candy bar I wrote an I love you because card. They were super thoughtful, sappy, gushy… all that great Valentines Day stuff! I also wanted Brian to be able to take it to work without being embarrassed.

A few include things like a day full of nag-free sports, wild cards, a morning to sleep in, a shoulder and back massage… you get the idea. Just come up with some things you think your husband would like!  I typed what I wanted in a text box, right adjusted (so I could add cutsie paper to the left side of the coupon). After I printed them out, I simply cut them to the size I wanted. I used the text boxes to give me a basic outline. After I printed them out, in pink, red and white, I added some cute scrapbook paper on one
