Hello loves! Happy Easter ?! I really can’t believe April is right around the corner… why is time moving so fast? Besides this super cute outfit, I wanted to share a couple Easter traditions that we really love doing together as a family. The first one, I shared years ago in this post here. Before I became a Smith I had never heard of this tradition before but it’s AMAZING!!! It’s called the Easter Egg Race and it’s something my kids look forward to every year. You basically make a track out of cardboard boxes, lay it over the stairs, and then race the eggs you dye or decorate. Every now and then the shell will roll off the egg completely and the yolk will pop out and go flying! It’s a super fun tradition that provokes just good, quality family time. And if you’ve got older boys, they’ll have so much fun building the track too!
Hey everybody!!! First off, I’m sorry I don’t have a hair tutorial for you to day!!! I’ve been traveling quite a bit lately so I’m a little off schedule. But I’m filming some awesome Spring hairstyles tomorrow so I promise to make up for it. In the meantime, you could watch this video or this video or THIS video in case you need a little entertainment! So today I’m sharing my secret to keeping my boots looking nice all winter long! I know, it’s a little bit random, but it’s come to my attention that this is not a normal thing for a lot of people to do!! I don’t know if it’s that I’ve lived in Utah my entire life, and trying to beat the rain and snow has just been a way of life? Before I started waterproofing my boots, which was years ago, they’d always get trashed and ruined in the weather. And each year, I’d have to buy new boots or shoes.
My mom always said, shaking her finger just like moms do, “I hope you have a daughter just like you one day”!!! Growing up I just wanted to be heard! And I pushed the boundaries, made up my own rules and just did what I wanted. My poor mother. She’s loved me and supported me my whole entire life, even when I wasn’t always deserving. But I guess that’s the beautiful thing about family. It means that you are part of something very wonderful. It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life, no matter what.
Fast forward to today and sure enough, I’ve got a daughter JUST. LIKE. ME.
