HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!!! I don’t know what it is about family Halloween costumes but I just can’t get enough. Last year we did Ghostbusters, the year before that we dressed up as characters from Pokemon Go and the year before that, the year that started it all, we did Star Wars. One of these days I’ll make a gallery wall out of all these pictures and hang it up every October. Or maybe I just need to make a little Shutterfly book with them all. Either way, I cherish these photos so much and am going to be so sad when my kids don’t want to participate. But I can’t even talk about that right now ?!
This year we went with the classic fairytale Little Red Riding Hood. I found THE cutest Little Red Riding Hood costume from Chasing Fireflies. I’m new to their site but so far have had a great experience and their costumes are really pretty, all made out of nice fabric with great detail. As I was adding up all the characters in the story I realized we had too many people. I didn’t let that stop me, no. I turned myself into the mom with the cookies and we had two wolves instead of one, which actually turned out really cute…
Halloween costumes are my jam. I love going all out and it’s not unusual for me to spend hours painting faces, crimping hair and layering all sorts of fabulous things together to create the perfect costume. But sometimes…let’s be honest, sometimes I just don’t have the time! Life is busy during October with all the pumpkin patches and corn mazes and of course there’s always lots and lots of baking to do! Even though I LOVE Halloween, sometimes life requires a costume that’s quick and easy. I’ve seen these Maskimals all over the place and thought I’d give you some last-minute Halloween costume ideas if you’re needing an affordable and quick costume for your monster mash parties and masquerades. They’re the perfect costume that allows you to wear your regular street clothes and not spend a whole ton of time, money, or energy on anything fancy but that still keeps you livin’ that festive Halloween life, ya know?!
Always be yourself. Unless you can be a mermaid. Then always be a mermaid!!!
I’ve been so excited to share these costumes with you, does it get any cuter than mommy/daughter mermaids and a CRAB PUPPY?! No. Not it does not! Today I’m sharing how to get these gorgeous mermaid waves and also a super easy makeup tutorial using a couple bright colors and some fishnets. I hope you have some time to kick back and relax for a minute because Savy is also sharing the story of the Star Queen Princess… which is amazing. You won’t want to miss it!
