So here’s the deal. I’m pregnant. And pregnancy comes with a lot of wonderful things. You know, a little bit of weight gain, swollen ankles, clothes that don’t fit, sleepless nights and cravings like chocolate shakes from Arby’s. At the end of it all though it ends up being totally worth it. So for me, pregnancy is a means to an end. When I’m pregnant I HATE taking pictures of myself. It’s one of those things where you think you look okay and then you see a picture of yourself and you’re like… Whaaat? No. That can’t be right. I don’t look like that! Or those glimpses you catch of yourself in the store windows or bathroom mirrors? Ugh. Here are a few pictures for you… ones where you can’t really see my face. Ha, because I REFUSE! It’s just one of those things. If you don’t understand, you will one day.
This hairstyle is nothing totally new, but it’s something a little different for me. It’s a dutch braided headband. That I just tied off with bobby pins. I started the braid close to my face and as I braided, I angled the braid further and further away from my face so that by the time it reached my ear it was a few inches back. If you don’t know how to do a dutch braid, get my book! Love dutch braids, they’re full of texture and super in right now. Enjoy!
Little girls are the best! I remember looking at pictures of myself and I even thought my nose got wider! It was so worth it, though! Blessings on your and your family and that sweet baby girl!
Yep, I’ve done it three times! But, no worries: if you’re health savvy and dedicated you can get rid of the pregnant face and pregnant…well, everything…
God Bless.
How far along are you?
You should have no worries about showing of that pretty face of yours!
I hope I’m as cute as you when I’m pregnant! lol. Congratulations, you already have a beautiful family!
I love the pictures but totally know what you mean. I refuse pictures during pregnancy!
I feel ya on the pregnancy face! I hate it! I’m not gaining ANY weight, but my tummy is growing, my boobs are out of control, and my face… It’s awful. Where does it come from! I feel ya, and know exactly what you are talking about!!! Feel better! You’re beautiful!
While I can’t see any “pregancy face” on you – you look beautiful as always – I can sympathize. I feel like my face has completely changed shapes since I have been pregnant and hope it goes back to oval from giant moon-sized circle once our baby boy is born. Congratulations on your little girl!
ow, Abby…
you look so great… you’re so gorgeous… but, I am like you I hate pics…
