ROAR. My hair is so wild and crazy in this picture it's crackin' me up!

Okay. So do you love the pictures or what? Well remember the photo shoot you guys helped me win? Yeah, these are some of those! It was at the end of a long day. I'm so surprised I'm not a complete mess! And isn't Micah amazing? I'm totally in love with her style of photography. Go check her stuff out here.
This video- PAIN IN MY BUTT!!! It was really long. And boring. So I edited it a bit and put some music to it. Then youtube said the music was copy-written. BLAH. So I had to start over. You guys better enjoy this! I've shortened it a lot, but the original video was 15 minutes. Not bad huh?!
A few things to keep in mind:
1. It's all in the wrist
2. Don't be perfect with it. It looks better messy and tangled
3. Hairspray and rat. That's the key to the volume people
4. STRAIGHTEN THE ENDS
5. Around the face- curl your hair AWAY from your face. You want to switch the direction every now and again so that the curls don't stick together. But around the face- curl it AWAY.

i wish i could try these out. my hair is just not long enough right now to do much of anything with it.
ReplyDeleteI think you could use something else to upload your video that wouldn't have the copy-write issues. vimeo or something?

i just found your blog - and LOVE it! my hair needs to be just a TAD longer to do most of these but that doesn't mean i'm not trying! :) thanks for all the tutorials!
ReplyDeleteYou are so simple and bautiful. I love your post's! Thank you for all these pictures and ideas for hair! And sorry for my bad english!
ReplyDeleteBye, Rea!
I tried this yesterday, and I don't know what I did wrong, but only the ends of my hair was curled. I started from the top of my chunk of hair, twisted the flat iron, and kept it twisted as I went down my chunk of hair. My hair looked great, but it was only curled at the bottomm. Any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteMy hair never holds a curl, whether I use and iron, hot rollers, product and dirty hair whatever. I can never get it hold for more than 20 mins. I have thick straight hair, any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteSarah, that's how my curls were forever. It takes a lot of practice. But if you notice, my hair really isn't super curly until the ends either. But if you straighten the ends it sort of pushes the curls up... ??? Maybe?! Keep practicing though because mine didn't become perfect over night! And Samantha, I have no idea!!!! Have you ever tried rags? I know that's probably really time consuming but if you wanted your hair curly...?? I just haven't had a problem with mine not curling... I'm so sorry!! If I learn of anything I'll be sure to let you know!
ReplyDeleteAbby, i love all of your inventive hairstyles and creative do's! i really like to do my hair in a billion diffrent ways, straigt, wavy, curly, scrunch, up, down, all around really :) my hair is really long too. with all of these things my long blonde locks are getting pretty frazled! do you use any shampoo or protective sprays that could prevent split ends or at least help my hair recoop?
ReplyDeletei love your blogs, thanks so much!
Your hair is amazing! So glad I found your blog, I am totally loving everything about it.
