Boots can be tricky.  As you can tell there is a different type of boot for every occasion.  Do I go with tall, ankle, grunge, more formal?  So where’s a girl to start?  If you have a tiny budget for new boots but are in desperate need, I’d start with boots 3 and 4.  For $70 you can get a nice black and tan boot that you’ll be able to wear with most everything.  These two boots just happen to be my personal favorites.
If you’ve got your basic black and tan bootie, my next must have would be either 2 or 5.  Grunge is totally in right now and I really love the height.  My favorite is 5… why do I always like the most expensive?  So if you have money to spend I’m totally in love.  Number 2 though will give you the same type of look and 2 is much more affordable.  You’ll next need a nicer boot to wear to church.  My favorites are 7 and 9.  And this one is total preference.  I always buy the safest option… the one I know I’ll be able to wear with everything.  However both of these colors lend themselves to most everything so you really can’t go wrong.  If you don’t already have a nice riding boot, you’re going to need one as soon as it starts snowing.  Don’t buy a cheap riding boot.  They won’t even last one season and instead of being able to buff out the leather if they get scratched or scuffed, the whole boot will just end up looking trashy.  Believe me, I learned the hard way!  It’s best to see the riding boot as an investment because you’ll be able to wear it for seasons to come!
I seriously die over all these boots and I wish each one of them were in my closet right now waiting to be worn.  Alas, I get to just goo and gah over them like the rest of you!
Do you have a favorite pair of boots?  I’d love to know what brands you love!
