Because December is such a crazy month I end up baking the same treats over and over because I just don’t have the time to try something new. So I perused Pinterest and found a plethora of pleasing treats to satisfy the Christmas “treat” craving. Did you like the use of my alliterations?! haa!
There were so many treats on Pinterest. Ones that were impossible to make too pretty to eat…
…or ones that didn’t look like they’d be worth the calories. No offense marshmallow snowmen. You’re cute and all but you’re just not what I’m looking for.
So I compiled my list of favorite Christmas treats. Ones that would be fun to either make with the kids and giveaway to neighbors or ones to just indulge in.
Surprise cookies. No words needed, look how good those suckers look!
Chocolate dipped pretzel rods. I could seriously eat these all day. Plus they are gorgeous. Definitely gift worthy. I usually wrap my pretzel rods in the carmel apple wraps found at the store. It’s a lot easier than unwrapping a billion caramels! Just wrap them in carmel wraps and dip them in Wilton Chocolate melts. Yum.
Almond Toffee. I’m not a huge almond lover… but these look delicious. I might try leaving out the almonds and just save a few to sprinkle on top.
Reindeer Food. Such a cute gift! I love the embellished bottles! Plus, who doesn’t like muddy buddies? This is just a good, safe treat to keep around.
White Chocolate Popcorn. I feel like I want to make this all the time but never have a recipe on hand. Well, no more excuses.
Reindeer Cake Pops. Cutest gift idea ever! You could make these as Oreo truffles too.
In case you can’t tell that’s just a tan pipe cleaner. Genius.

Found here. Check out this lady’s Gingerbread party- it’s crazy! |
North Pole Cupcakes! Fancy! And I’m sure delicious.
Holiday Pretzel Treats. I’m sorry, but there is nothing better than the sweet and salty crunchy goodness that comes when you mix pretzels and chocolate. I’ve made these using rolos before too… oh. my. heck. They are so delicious. Great gift idea, kid approved activity and so delicious. Can’t go wrong with holiday pretzel treats!
I’ve never tried this recipe, but if that rice crispy treat is soft and gooey these things look delicious!
Santa Hat Party Mix! This would be such a great neighbor gift. In a decorated mason jar? Can you tell I’m a fan of the treats that you can just pick at all day? I love mixes of every kind!
I made these last year with my nieces. They are so fun to make!
I usually bake a bunch of different treats and then put a few of each on plates for my neighbors. Anyway. I feel like I should go running right now. Just looking at all these delicious treats is starting to make me feel guilty! Whatever, it’s Christmas time. And calories don’t count in December!
Happy Holidays!
i just saw the recipie for the santa hats, they are bugles dipped in colored candy melts
all these ideas look great…can't wait to try them all !
The Santa Party Mix link doesn't take you to the recipe for the hats…Help?
These are so cute! I need to do about 4 rounds of practice before I actually would show them to the world 🙂 But I’m sure the husband and neighbors won’t mind
I think the downfall of me making treats for others at Christmas is that I eat more than I give! haha 🙂 Especially muddy buddies…the poor reindeer would never get their food!
Those all look soo good!! Thanks for sharing! Hugs, Holly
