I can’t believe I’m about to have baby #2. It’s sort of freaking me out! I can barely handle the one I have now. I realize mothers do it everyday. Still. The thought of a newborn. Never getting enough sleep. Never getting around to showering because the little one decides to wake up the second you turn on the hot water. Never leaving the house in fear of disturbing precious nap time…
… And then there’s the thought of a newborn. The sweet smells. The cuddling. The tiny toes and teeny noises. Oh, the way they lift their knees up to their chest when they yawn!
Yeah. I can totally do it.
I have scheduled a C-section one week from today. January 25th at 7:30 am. For those of you who don’t know Boston’s birth story… well, I won’t rehash how awful it was to get him here. Let’s just say this time can’t be worse and I’m actually looking forward to being conscious while she’s born! So mommas, wish me luck!
I will be posting when I can over the next few months. I’m gonna relax and soak in those newborn months as best I can! Just don’t be surprised if you don’t see 5 posts a week!
Best of luck as you welcome your second baby into the world!
Beautiful! You can totally do it. 🙂 xoxo
Jan. 25th is my birthday!! It’s a great day to be born! Congrats and good luck and sending good vibes your way! Yay for Jan. 25th babies!!!!!!!
you look beautiful 🙂 congrats !!!
no hablo muy bien ingles pero muchas felicidades te ves hermosa 🙂
Awwww, Sweet Abby! I wish you and your family all the luck of the precious new baby girl coming. I pray God will hold your hand during that C-Section and be right there beside the surgeon and team while they deliver. What a blessing from God. I totally agree with what you said above …the fear of leaving the house because it would disturb nap time and not getting a shower because he wakes up…MAN, it is the same for this Mommy. I thought I was the only one that did not have super-mom powers. God bless you all. Love always, Stephany
Congrats. I’m also due in one week — except this is my 5th. Honestly, the jump from 1 to 2 kids was the most difficult for me so far because you have to learn how to split your time between the kids and choose who to respond to first. You’ll adapt quickly though and soon you’ll be a pro at taking care of two little ones. You’ll get really fast at taking showers too. I usually buckle my newborns in an infant car seat or a swing and bring them into the bathroom with me. I know they are safe and older siblings can’t get to them. If they cry for 2 minutes while I wash my hair, it’s okay. Good luck!
Congrats! i love your blog! Let me know if you still need newborn pics!
Good luck, I am sure you will do fine. I have three and I would have to say the one to two was the easiest transition and I am sure your little guy will be so excited to be a big brother and want to help you with everything.
Oh,how exciting. Your in my prayers.
Congrats! You are so cute! If you need guest bloggers to keep your blog up and runnin while you are enjoying your new little one, I would be happy to help!
Congratulations, you look great! I have a 2-year-old little girl, and we will be welcoming baby #2 (a boy) in April. Thanks for being transparent about your fears. I’ve been really stressed all day today just thinking about what it will be like when I’m outnumbered during the day! Praying for a healthy, easy delivery and recovery for you and your sweet baby! Can’t wait to see pictures!
what a cute preggie lady you are:) my “newborn” is two and a half months old now! enjoy that tiny baby because they grow too, too fast!

umm good luck with the new little princess
awe!! i can’t wait to see pictures!!
Newborns are just yummy! As a grandma, I have been getting one a year for about the last 10 years, I am so lucky!! I am wishing you a smooth sailing delivery and can’t wait to see pics of your new little angel!
Congrats! My second is due in 3 1/2 weeks and I’m so excited! But I totally get the nervousness factor. My first baby was pretty mild and a good sleeper so I’m really nervous that this one will be her opposite. But no matter what it will be great. I’m happy for you!
Congratulations on your sweet baby girl! I remember thinking that it was complete and utter chaos when we went from “we” to “us” with our first daughter. Then when we had our second daughter, it was a little crazy. We just had our third daughter 8 weeks ago and it felt like no big deal! Just another little lady to snuggle and love on. I’m sure you’ll be a fantastic mother of two. You seem to be such an awesome mama to Boston already! Good luck!!
