I love how clean and fresh this scrub makes my lips feel. I seriously want to eat the whole bottle sometimes too haha! The smell reminds me of Junior Mints… and if you’ve ever read my book, you know those are my favorite. I have no self control when it comes to Junior Mints. Before I apply lipstick or after I wash my face I just scrub my lips with a tiny bit of this stuff and I’m good to go. Dead skin is sloughed off and my lips feel hydrated and clean. YUM!
1) Mix 1/4 c sugar and 1/4 c coconut oil in a bowl
2) Chop 1-2tsp of fresh rosemary and then bake it in the oven at 400 for a few minutes until it dries up a bit
3) Combine the ingredients. You’ll need mix it all together with your hands so make sure they’re washed
4) Add a few drops of peppermint. I did 5 or 6 but this is all preference
I have another favorite that I use all the time too, I’ll post that next week. I’ve read all over the place that you’re supposed to store scrubs like this in your fridge and only up to a few weeks. I’ve had mine out on my bathroom vanity next to my makeup for a couple months now and it doesn’t smell rancid or anything. I guess if you didn’t dry the rosemary that could maybe go bad? But there aren’t perishable ingredients in here so… I don’t know. Do what you feel most comfortable with I guess! But seriously, if you put it in the fridge it gets all hard and impossible to use, and then there’s the problem of having to walk to your kitchen when you want to scrub your lips… it’ll never happen. At least not in my world!!
Have you tried any yummy scrubs lately I should know about? Do tell!
Did you use peppermint extract or peppermint essential oils?

I love this! I made a lip scrub with coconut oil, honey, sugar and some almond extract. I’ve been using it for a few months now. I figure all of those ingredients can sit in a cabinet for a while so it should be okay in my bathroom…hmmm…
