Volume without Teasing

collage

First off I have to apologize.  My face is so swollen right now I can’t hardly look at these pictures! It’s why you haven’t seen a huge smile from me in weeks haha! I know you guys will be like, “oh whatever, you haven’t retained water” or “you’re almost 34 weeks pregnant with twins – you looks great” but I don’t believe you.  So just let me feel bad for my swollen face and ankles haha!!!  If you’ve ever been pregnant you totally get what I mean right?!

With that out of the way – whew – today I’m reviewing the Voloom.

I’ll be quick since all this info is in the video, but the Voloom is a pretty sweet volumizing tool that I’ve really enjoyed using.  You use it a few inches down from your part on each side and change the texture of your hair.  It gives you awesome volume in just a few minutes.  It’s added great texture and height to my ponytails and updos and what I love most is that the volume stays in.  A regular rat will fall out within hours but because we’ve actually changed the texture of our hair with the Voloom it’s not going to fall out.  I’ll use the Voloom one day and days later the texture will still be there which is awesome – I only need to use it after I’ve washed my hair!  With all that said, I do wish the price was a little bit more affordable but hey, when you have fine hair and need a tool like this sometimes the price just doesn’t matter.  If you have long hair and have been wanting to buy extensions to make it thicker, this tool will give you that illusion.

^^ A couple before and after’s from their website that I thought were pretty awesome.  I love how happy the models are afterwards haha!!  Anyway, check out the “how to: volume without teasing” video.  What do you think?

  1. Hi Abby. In your opinion, how does this tool compare to the Sam Villa TEXTUR iron you once used in a previous post? Thank you.

  2. Great hair, I’ve had this in my house for awhile and I had no idea what to do with it!! Lol, i’m young but act old!!

  3. Hi!! I know that this is a bit off topic, but I do need your help! It’s not that big of a deal, but I would still need your help since you have helped me with so many hairstyles before. Here’s the thing: my friend and I are going to prom and I will do her hair. The problem is that she has really thin hair and it goes only to her collarbones. So here’s my question: how do I make her hair look the best without using any extensions (I already asked her and she told me that she would never use extensions)? And how do I make her hairstyle last?
I understand if you can’t answer because you’re bussy doing other things or if you don’t see this message. But it would be a life saver if you could help me!
I’m sorry if I’ve done any language errors, but I’m from Sweden so it’s only my second language!
And your face does not look swullen!
And while I’m at it: I love your hair and your youtube tutorials! You are so great at explaining what to do and how!
    Thank you

    1. Hi Lovisa! I would get some dry shampoo or some texture spray and use that to give the hair some good texture. And then just tease the roots to make them hold and do an updo like the holiday updo. That way you can give her some great volume and make it really pretty from the front, but it won’t fall out or flat during the night. Hopefully that helps! Good luck! I’m sure whatever you do will be really pretty!

  4. Your hair looks amazing! I so know what you mean about YOU personally feeling like you are swollen, and while I totally believe you, I honestly think you look amazing! I wasn’t having twins and I looked more swollen then you do, so to meet you look incredible 🙂
