Styling a Baseball Tee

You know what a momiform is right?  It’s the outfit you wear for comfort and practicality while chasing your kids around all day.  These jeans are basically leggings, the top is soft and warm + tying a button up around the waist is always a good move for me.  The hat because I haven’t washed my hair in 100 days and the fishtail braids because my hair was so dirty I couldn’t even get a messy bun to look cute!  All of these things equals the perfect momiform!  I’m obsessing over this baseball top – it’s a little pricey but it’s because it’s not a t-shirt, it’s a sweatshirt and a suuuper soft one at that.  I found a really cute baseball tee at American Eagle that’s on sale right now though, so make sure to check that one out.

If you want to see more momiform looks there’s this one here and this one!

So I have a funny little story to tell you.  I have bruises alllll over my legs.  Like all over.  So many bruises that I’ve been a little paranoid about it… do I need to see a doctor?!  They’re covering both my legs and especially on the sides of my knees.  Brian just laughs at me — thanks a lot babe!  But for the longest time I couldn’t figure out why in the world I was bruising, it was seriously the strangest thing.  This past week Brian’s mom came into town and because she was around I wasn’t having to load the boys up in their car seats twice a day to get Savy from Preschool.  And guess what?  My bruises are almost gone.  ALL those bruises are from carrying car seats to and from the car haahahaha!!!!  When I put it together I was like ooooooohhhh and it just all made sense.  I’m always banging the seats into my legs because the boys are heavvvy and I REFUSE to take two trips + that front swinging door and I get in a fight literally everyday.  So there ya have it.  I’ll have battle wounds all over my body before these boys are finished with me, sheesh.  Don’t even get me started on my stomach.  The things we do for our children!  Now who wants to come sit at my house for ten minutes so I don’t have to load them up?  Anyone, anyone?

Do you have any battle wounds from your kids?  Leave me a comment, I’d love to hear your stories!

  1. Haha! When my daughter was in an infant carseat, I had bruises all over my legs. They will fade when you move them to convertible carseat. Thanks for a new momiform!

  2. Craziest battle wound, mom of two boys, is when I was dislodging a scooter from their mess of bikes and it swung up and broke my nose . Crazy bit is that after I had the bone reset in doctors office, two weeks later my son jumped on my face and rebroke it. I just reset it myself. I love my boys, fabulous fun!

    1. OH MY GOODNESS!! THAT IS NUTS! Seriously I just cannot believe that happened! haha!!! Seriously, the things we do!

  3. You can pull off any look! When I’m feeling stressed about my 7 month old and adding another one in October (total surprise) I think about you and feel less stressed. Your snaps motivate me… #momspiration. Anyways, I would love if I could somehow measure the amount of hair my son rips out out of my head. I bet the bruises will come with the second 😉

  4. Aside from the scars of two natural births & two c-sections, my funniest-not-so-funny scar is this – my 4 year old gave me a black eye! I was teaching him to dry his feet after bath and when he went to stand up, with all the energy of a little boy, BAM!! I had co-workers seriously worried my husband hit me. We went out to eat for Father’s Day 5 days later when the bruise was still look gnarly. My poor husband got dirty looks from the waiter and the waiter dos one of those – “If there is ANYTHING you need, Senorita…” Which was even sweeter in his Spanish accent.

  5. Ohhh so funny! ouch! I used to pick up my oldest nephew…my sister’s youngest and my oldest are two weeks apart so I had lots of experience with the car seat/it takes longer to get in and out of the car than the actual pick up. My thing is I have like a permanent dent in my shin from leaning against the running boards on my car while I buckle them in! Lol now I don’t watch my nephews daily but I still have two in car seats. Boo.

  6. I have the same problem!! My husband and mother in law have been asking about all the bruises on my right outer leg! It’s because of the car seat I haul around!! Haha so funny and glad it’s not just me! #BruiseLikeAPeach

    love following you Abby!!

  7. My twin boys are just younger than yours this was eye opening I could not figure out why I have bruises all over my right leg!! Duh!! Thanks for the insight!!! I can totally relate on the not making more than one trip.

  8. I only have one little girl and I am pregnant I make a point of doing all of our errands at one point during the day so I don’t have to take load her from the apartment to the car a million times ha! I have no idea how you do four! You are seriously super woman! And I bruise so easy, so I am always finding random bruises and trying to figure out where they came from ha! This outfit is so cute and I love your pigtails. You are seriously so gorgeous! 🙂

    1. OH you’re so nice! I honestly don’t know how I do it either sometimes but you just figure out a routine and deal with what you have haha! You could totally do it. And thank you!!

  9. Battle wounds…. I can’t even count them. I got my first gray hairs with my 1st child at 26. Even though I lost the baby weight eventually I had to buy new jeans bc my shape had changed, after my third I am now up half a size in shoes and bras just can’t help my deflated balloon situation after nursing 3 babies. These are just a few but I would do it again for my 3 littles.
