DIY Beaded Heart Necklace

Hey My Yellow Sandbox fans! I’m Maria-Isabel and I’m the girl behind Agape Love Designs. ALD is my one place to let my creativity explode. I know most people stick to and blog about one niche. One THING that totally defines them. Well, I’ve never been one of those kinda people who just KNEW one thing was just perfect for them. I’m a lover of variety and I find myself having a hard time sitting still with just one project. But I DO have a love and passion for art and things of a crafty nature. So I tend to bounce back and forth between different hobbies in that specific area. Things like Photography, Accessory making, Makeup, Fashion, DIY Projects and the like. I’m a self proclaimed “nomadic crafter.” And that doesn’t bother me one bit! I am more than that, though. If you asked I would tell you that I am soon to be 28 (on Aug 8th) and I am married to my best friend, we have 3 amazing children and I LOVE GOD with all my heart. I truly hope to glorify Him in all that I do. I would also tell you that I am currently on a weight loss journey and as of July 1st I have lost 55lbs! I would also tell you that I pour my heart out and into my family and my blog too, so if variety is something you like, then I hope you will stop by and visit me sometime soon!
BTW if you recognize me, it might be because I did a guest post here back in June from my OTHER blog, Mommy Made. 🙂 Today I am sharing with you a fun jewelry tutorial! I share lots of these on Agape Love.
I do hope you enjoy!

For some reason, I have really been into beads lately.

I wanted to create a fun necklace with beads and patterns.

So I came up with a beaded heart necklace.

Its simple and adorable, though it does take some patience to make!

Here are all the supplies you will need:

I wrote out the pattern you can use to follow if you want to create the necklace exactly like mine

Otherwise, you can think up your own pattern, and just use mine as an example.

I actually started from the middle and worked my way out, to make sure everything was even.

But since Ive written the pattern for you, you wont have to worry about that.

So you will take one head pin at a time and just start adding the beads in the pattern given.

You will want to make sure each bead you add is about the same size.

Some are shorter or taller than the others, so either dont use those, or

change up the pattern a smidgen to work with those wonky sizes!

One you have all 13 of your head pins filled you will need your round nose pliers.

There will be some wire left on the top, bend it at a 90 degree angle, then curve it around your pliers.

Repeat this for all 13 head pins, then take the eye pin and loop them all through in order!

One they are all looped through, you will create a loop on the other end of the eye pin,

again with your round nose pliers.

Next you will use your flat nose pliers and jump rings, to attach the chain to the eye pin!

Cut the chain with your wire cutters.

Attach jump rings and the lobster clasp.

And there you have it.

An adorable beaded heart necklace to wear and enjoy!!
