Jacket Essentials

Fashion is all about layering different textures and patterns and expressing your personality through what you wear.  You’re able to be creative and share yourself with the world every time you pick out your clothes for the day.  To me jackets are that perfect finishing touch.  They can pull an out together, they add great dimension and texture, and depending on the jacket they definitely show off your mood/personality.  The jackets above are a few jackets I think every closet would benefit from having.

If you have zero of the above jackets I’d recommend starting with the levi jacket and that fabulous green pilot jacket.  Those are two jackets you will wear over and over and over again and they will follow you through seasons.  Then to add onto those two numbers, I’d go with the black blazer and then a soft colored blazer like the orange one above.  The colored jackets are like those random colored flats you bought and thought you’d have nothing to wear them with.  And then you find that they go with everything and you wear them everyday!  Colored jackets can be worn with neutrals and patterns, they really are so fun to accessorize!  To add onto those jackets, I’d then get a utility vest, a floral blazer and a leather jacket.

The nice thing about jackets is that they usually stay in style a couple of years so you’re bound to get a good amount of use out of them!  Every closet needs to have at least a few of them.  Which ones are your favorites?
