I’m lovin’ how this one jazzes up the messy bun. Some of the easiest hairstyles can look so elegant when worn with the right accessories and outfit. Beware- If you wear your hair like this you’re going to get loads of comments.

I can't figure out how you are doing that twisty thing after you put the elastic around the second time.. I know it is probably so simple but I've tried to do it about 50 times and I don't understand how you flip it over and then put the elastic over it so the hair is on the outside.. I wish you had step-by-step instructions 'cause it's really cute
Thank you for posting your hairstyles! I have your ebook and love it. Your videos are great, and I appreciate you putting them up!
ooo love this MESSY bun! thanks for the tuturial!!
And YOU make my day….and my dirty hair look good!!!! 🙂
I am loving the topsy tail week!! I am a hairdresser and I cannot think of all these hairstyles you come up with – where in the world do you find the ideas? Or do you just think them up yourself? Talented Miss Abby!
I’m a new follower of your blog and I love it! I’ve been struggling to find new things to do with my hair and your hairstyles have solved my problem. Love this version of a messy bun. Definitely going to try it!
The other day, i was just playing around with my hair and ended up with a topsy tail – brought my mind back to grade school when that little invention was all over TV and my mom wouldn’t buy me one, HAHA!
The messy topsy tail is ADORABLE! now I’m sad I have shorter hair – growing it out as of right now, Thanks abby!
Abby – I know how exciting it is to get comments – especially from blogosphere friends, not your in-real-life friends! It’s a great feeling to build a community of friends and support online, especially because they can be there for you in ways sometimes that your friends and family at home can’t (giving you tips on what to see when you’re vacationing, a different perspective from a different culture, etc)! We know you’re busying blogging and momma-ing. 🙂 Also, it’s very exciting you may be moving to Ohio – I’m here in Michigan – woohoo midwest! The kids will have the best time in the winter with all the things to do – and the midwest is great in the summer too – lakes are everywhere! 🙂
