We stopped off to feed the ducks before our neighborhood Christmas party.  And then we couldn’t find any ducks and we forgot the bread… haha story of my liiiiife!!!  I just wanted to pop in an say how incredibly thankful I am for all of you.  For supporting me, for loving my family and for taking such an active role in our lives.  I was talking to Brian today about how much I miss my family… how much I miss the mountains and ache to be back in Utah where life seemed… well, simple.  One of the few things that has been constant in my life this past year has been all of you.  I love learning more about you guys and occasionally stalk your photos on instagram after you’ve left a comment!  I love when I find out you’re raising a young family like me, or that you’re working your butt off to put yourself through school.  I love when I come across entrepreneurs who are pursing their dreams and it makes me so happy to see so much happiness.  I’ve been told there’s a light about me, which is honestly one of the greatest compliments and one I oftentimes don’t deserve, but I think there’s a light about all of you.  We are drawn to each other because we are similar and it’s not because we look alike, have similar styles or are in similar stages in life… but because we are trying to spread that joy and light to those around us.  Thank you for being so positive, so encouraging and such a bright light to me and my family!

From year to year my New Years Resolutions are pretty similar… diet, exercise blah blah haha!  This year I’m throwing them all out the window and instead adopting a theme.  I think last years was to happily survive… well, I survived!  And it was a pretty happy year for us!!  This year I want to invest more quality time in my little investments.  Instead of just happily surviving, I want to really enjoy them.  To soak up these years when they’re little and when they still want to spend time with me!  I want to find joy in teaching them and reading with them and playing with them.  Invest more quality time in my little investments!

I’d love to know your plans on making this year one to remember!  And sorry if none of this made any sense… I should probably eat before I try concentrating.  I swear I have the attention span lately of a two year old!  xoxo

  1. Such adorable pics! Can you post a video about how to wash your hair less and what products you use to keep it clean? Thanks. Love the blog!

  2. You really do have a light about you! I am a single 20-something who lives in NC and on the surface it would seem we have nothing in common but your joy, love for The Lord, contagious smile, and killer fashion are what bring me back day after day! Cheers to an awesome 2016!

  3. Hi Abby 🙂 What a sweet post! I just wanted to encourage you on staying invested in those precious investments! I recently contacted you about a lipstick color lol! I am a mom of 8 children at 10 years old and younger with 2 sets of twins in there:) The youngest is 3 weeks old:)) Sometimes I feel like I barely have time to breathe:) I am about to turn 36 and often think “How did I get here so fast!!” There are days when no make up gets put on and the hair doesn’t get done bc I am neck deep in homeschooling, changing diapers, and now have a sweet little nursing babe:) But man is it all worth it! These relationships are eternal! So don’t grow weary in doing good sister! God bless! May your year be filled with the joy from above!
