Fav Products + Swim Accessories for the Beach!

Truth be told, this is the first time I’ve been in a swim suit in nearly two years.  Last year I had JUST had the twins and I fit into zero of my suits.  I went to the pool a couple times with the kids and literally had to wear a tee shirt and workout shorts that were so tight I could barely breathe.  Needless to say when Spring rolled around this year I couldn’t WAIT for summer!  Today I wanna share just a few of my favorite products to help you get beach ready + a couple of my favorite suits and accessories. 

SUNLESS TANNER!!!!!  Goodness gracious, I love sunless tanner.  When I was younger this stuff was pointless because I had time to actually layout and catch a tan.  Now though, I’m in the pool playing with my kids or we’re at the park and I’m in the shade so the chances of me actually getting a tan are pretty slim.  I have two favorites, Completely Bare Don’t Grow There Hair Growth Inhibitor & Body Moisturizer • Completely Bare • $9.99

” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Fake Bake and Tan Wise Mousse.  They each do a great job, I feel like the Fake Bake has less of a smell but the tan doesn’t stay as long and the color isn’t as rich.  The Tan Wise Mousse has more of a sunless tanner smell but the color is gorgeous and it holds a little bit better.  They’re each great though. 

A quick tip I have for getting those hard to reach areas: Put your mit over your hair brush.  I’ve heard of people using an old towel or the help of a spouse, but it’s super easy to just shove the mit over your paddle brush and call it day.  It easily reaches your back and most people have a hair brush lying around.  I like to put my tanner on at night, and then after I workout the next morning I’ll shower it off.  Any streaks you had from applying it will even out with you take that first shower and then you can do a quick touch up a few days later if you want but I usually do it once a week to maintain the color.

My next favorite must-have product is the Completely Bare moisturizer + hair inhibitor.  Well, to be honest all their products are amaayy-zing. The moisturizer has a yummy lemongrass smell to it and it’s infused with green tea which is chuck full of antioxidants but best of all it reduces hair density, growth and length when you use it consistently.  Say what?!  Yeah, you heard me.  I mainly use it on my legs and arms usually after I get out of the shower or before I go to bed.  During the summer months this is by far my favorite moisturizer!!  In order for it to inhibit hair growth though, you have to use it consistently.  And then all of a sudden you realize you’re shaving less and because of it, your sunless tanner is hanging on longer ha ha!  Bam, two birds.  Completely Bare has these bikini bump blaster pads which are awesome too!  They reduce any ingrown hair you get when shaving near your bikini area + smooth out and soothe the skin.

” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”>Super Goop Sunscreen Oil.  I LOVE this stuff because it’s lightweight, non-greasy and it’s all natural so I feel comfortable spraying it all over my kids.  The spray makes it super convenient when you have four little faces and bodies to cover.  I have a larger bottle I keep in my beach bag and then I have a travel size that goes with me everywhere.  That way when we’re just out and about if I need to mist little people it’s super quick and easy.

My sister and her kids have been visiting and this past week we got a sitter in the afternoons for the babies and her two year old and we’ve taken the bigger kids to the pool.  It’s seriously heaven because our kids just all play while we sit and chat laying out in the sun (with sunscreen of course).  It’s a little unnerving for us both though because we’re not used to relaxing at a pool!
