I love doing this hairstyle when my hair is a mess. I’ve had it curled for a few days and it’s getting pretty dirty. This is the perfect style for dirty hair and when you need to get it up off your shoulders and out of your face! I know the top knot is nothing new but I wanted to explain and show how to french braid into a top knot- step by step. It took me awhile to figure it out because my hands kept getting all tangled. So follow my voice prompts in the video and do it on yourself WITH me. I promise if you practice enough you’ll finally get it. And don’t be freaked out because I look headless in the video haha! Also, if you would rather a normal looking braid instead of the dutch style I am showing, just bring the hair OVER the middle piece instead of under. That’s it!Disclaimer: I’m a little embarrassed with this video. It’s pretty crappy. A girls gotta start somewhere though right?! So cut me a break for awhile… I MISS MY MOM!!!! She hasn’t left yet… she’s just super busy! Read story here. Also. Don’t mind the mess in the background. We are in the middle of moving stuff around and our house is a full on a disaster!

This is so pretty but you make it look so easy! I can’t French braid well at all and have been trying this for 20 minutes and can’t even get past step 2…eek.
Kimberly: I got my “hair donut” on asos.com (that’s what they call it on that site, so you can just use the search engine on the site to find it 🙂 )
