I have to say, out of all the outfits and hairstyles I wore to New York Fashion Week, including the gorgeous Ted Baker dress, this one was my favorite. I don’t know if I just woke up on the right side of the bed and was having a really lucky day, but I felt like a million bucks in this dress. I also knew the dress and I were meant to be together because it was the exact same shade as my red lipstick. You know it’s going to be a good day when your reds match haha! The color though just fit my personality, I loved all the accessories and I was really happy with my messy hair. I used the last few sprays of Redkin Wool to revitalize the left over curls and then I teased them like crazy and sprayed it with hairspray so it looked really big and texturized.
I really appreciate Teri Jon dresses because they’re all so modest. It’s really challenging to find fashionable dresses that hit the knee and have full sleeves. And by challenging I mean pretty much impossible. You can find more casual type dresses, sure, but if you need a really elegant dress for a special occasion it get’s tricky. You’ve got to be careful when adding layers to a sleeveless dress. The wrong jacket or cardigan can make a sleeveless dress look super tacky and the skirt extenders are great, but only work with certain textures and lengths. If you’re needing a more formal type cocktail dress, a mother of the bride dress, bridesmaid dress etc… checkout the gorgeous selection at Teri Jon by Rickie Freeman.
I hope you guys have a fantastic weekend! My little family is headed to Kalamazoo, Michigan to watch General Conference with Brian’s sister and her family. I’m excited for a few reasons: 1) there will most likely be cinnamon rolls 2) My kids and I have been missing them like crazy and 3) well, it’s General Conference. There’s always reason to celebrate when we get to hear from the Prophet!

This is one of my FAV lipsticks of all time! I bought it in Moscow of all places and felt it was meant to be because of that lol. Looks stunning on you sister!!!
I am totally in love with this whole look. The dress and color looks stunning on you and Sam Edelman shoes are probably my all time favorite. Top it off with that amazing hair and you’ve got a winning look girl.

Great post.
You look beautiful in this dress Abby! That’s so your color! I hope you absolutely loved conference because I did. I love how no matter where we live the gospel is the same. You and I got to hear the prophet’s voice from two different parts of the country!
That dress is amazing! You look beautiful in it! Went to the website and eek! Haha those dresses are pricey! I’ll have to live vicariously through your blog!
So happy I stumbled upon this blog! I would have to agree that it is truly difficult to find a modest dress AS IS. My closet is full of cardigans and sometimes that just doesn’t pull of the elegant look that I was going for. This dress really does look great on you! 🙂
Gorgeous!!!!
You look stunning in this dress – natural (not luck). 🙂 The fun peplum-like hem is great!
Great dress! Love the vibrant color!
