Fishtail Series Part 1

The Saturday before I chopped my hair I spent the day filming.  I was so nervous I’d hate my short hair I went nuts filming every style I could think of that I couldn’t do after I cut it.  Luckily, I love my new look so we’re good there!  Anyway, that Saturday I went a little fishtail crazy.  My intention was to put all the styles in a “8 ways to wear a fishtail braid this summer” video.  I don’t know what I was thinking though because the video was like… half an hour haha!  So I’ve split it up into three parts.  Last week we did the four basic fishtail braids, and this week we are doing 2 of the 4 “build-able” fishtail styles.  I call them build-able because you start with one to get to the other.

All the styles start with this gorgeous half up fishtail braid.  I really love how elegant this look is.  It’d be so cute though to wear to the beach with tangled beach waves.  I’m sort of in love with it and I’ll be trying it out here soon on my shorter locks.

Style #2.  I’m not really sure what inspired this look but it was an easy add on.  I think it makes the fishtail look like it curves back and around – it’s definitely a nice subtle accent.  The next two styles are my absolute favorites so make sure to visit me next week!
