Alright, babes today I wanted to share one of my all-time favorite skin care recipes with you. It’s called the Burning Mask and it does exactly that. But burns in a good way! I shared it a loooong time ago but I have updated it and thought it was about time to share it with you all again! It’s great for brightening marks and clearing up acne and scars. Basically, all the best stuff plus you look so pretty with it on! 😉
Let’s get started!
How To Make A Burning Face Mask
First Gather Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp honey
- 1/8 tsp of baking soda – makes it bubble up and spread easier
2ish tsp lemon juice. (I used the juice from 1/4 of a lemon)
You’re just going for a paste though, so don’t worry if the measurements are a little off.
Nutmeg is an anti-inflammatory. It’s been used since ancient times to heal many skin diseases including ringworm and eczema.
Speaking of ancient times- cinnamon. Don’t even get me started! It’s been used for thousands and thousands of years as an anti-fungal, astringent, anti-viral and blah blah. Cinnamon is awesome. And it tastes good in my hot chocolate.
How To Use
Mix together into a thick paste.
Apply on your face for half an hour… or ten minutes if you can’t handle the burn! It’ll only burn for the first five minutes or so and then it sort of wears off.
I know it looks “gorgeous” but it’s worth it, I swear!
NOTE: If you have sensitive skin leave out or dilute the lemon. I’m serious. I call it the burning mask for a reason! This is a mask and NOT to be used to exfoliate your skin. It’ll hurt. Promise. Don’t do it! If you leave out the lemon, just use enough honey to make it paste-y.
Rinse the mask off with warm water and moisturize.
Your face will feel so smooth and soft. Just remember you aren’t going to see drastic changes overnight from the burning mask but with continual use, you will. Plus the burning mask is a fraction of the price as some other similar treatments. So tell me, babes, are you ready to feel the burn with me? Would you ever try the burning mask out?
