It’s been a few months since Matt and I got married and moved into our new home as a family of 8! With 6 kids between us, the days fly by quickly. I’m trying to get us all settled into our new home and I want to keep things organized as much as possible. Here’s how I did a quick shower refresh in my master bathroom!
Our home is pretty much brand new so we don’t need to do a lot of updating to it. This is perfect for us right now because we don’t have the time to put into updating a home. I love our master bathroom shower. It’s nice and big, and the double shower heads are such a nice feature!
One thing I don’t like is looking at mismatched bottles in the shower. Since our shower has a built in niche for bottles and also has glass surround, I can see the bottles from across the room. It’s a little thing to change, but I love the difference it makes!
For my quick shower refresh, I grabbed a few things from my favorite online retailer, Amazon, and got to work.
If you want to do a quick shower refresh, here’s what I used:
Step 1- Create New Labels
First, I used the label maker to make labels for my new shampoos, conditioner, and body wash bottles. Since I’m using the same bottles for each one, I needed an easy way to tell them apart. There’s nothing worse than accidentally using body wash as conditioner in your hair!
Step 2- Fill The New Bottles
Next, I poured my shampoos, conditioner, and body wash into the newly labeled pump bottles and screwed the pumps onto the top.
Quick tip for getting the thick liquids into the new bottles: I found that if I used the new pump as a guide for the liquid, it made much less of a mess! Just pull the pump partly out of the bottle like in the picture, and let the liquid run down the pump stem. This helps prevent those annoying bubbles and clogs that can happen when you’re pouring thick soaps into new bottles.
Step 3- Attach the Razor Hooks
Now that those were ready, I figured out where I wanted Matt’s razor to be and attached a hook onto the tile shower wall. This way, it’s close at hand and I don’t have to worry about accidentally knocking it off the shelf.
I love these razor holders because they have a simple adhesive backing and they match the black accents in my shower. I also love that they come in a 4 pack and can be used in other areas of my home, too!
Step 4- Keeping It Clean
My last step of my quick shower refresh was to hang my new shower squeegee to the tile as well. These are a lifesaver when you have a glass shower stall like mine. I’ve found if I use the squeegee regularly after showering to wipe down the water splatters on the glass, I don’t end up with water stains on the glass as much. It makes cleaning the shower a lot easier!
Quick Shower Refresh Complete!
Now that I’ve done a quick shower refresh on my master bath, I want to do one for the kids’ bath as well! What should I organize next? I’m eyeing everything in the house now that I have my new label maker. #labelallthethings! Ha!
